BioXP is the point-based rewards system that tracks and rewards user contributions across the BIO Protocol ecosystem. It includes both retroactive rewards for early support and ongoing rewards based on active participation.
Yes. Generally, BioXP points expire 14 days after they are earned. The special retroactive points distributed to early supporters will expire one month after the first Ignition Sale on V2.
Your allocation is calculated pro-rata. It’s based on the share of BioXP you pledged relative to the total BioXP pledged by all participants. For example, if you pledge 1% of the total BioXP in a sale, you are entitled to purchase up to 1% of the tokens for sale (up to the maximum cap of 0.5% of total supply per user). Unused points and committed $BIO are returned.
veBIO is based on the vote-escrowed token standard. The balance of veBIO decreases until the maturity of the lock. At every point, the balance is calculated as (locked amount of BIO) x [(weeks to maturity) / (max lock time)].
Meaning, as the lock matures (assuming auto-renewal is not enabled) the veBIO balance falls until it is 0, and BIO can be withdrawn.
