KLF15 Agonist Phase 1

KLF15 Agonist Phase 1

Albuminuria/Proteinuria is a key factor in CKD, occurring when kidney filtration is damaged, allowing proteins like albumin to leak into urine. KLF15 is a promising therapeutic target for proteinuric kidney diseases, effectively suppressing pro-inflammatory and pro-fibrotic pathways, including TGF-β, a major contributor to kidney damage. Additionally, it modulates glucose and lipid metabolism in kidney cells, protecting against metabolic stress-induced injury. Thus, agents that enhance KLF15 expression or mimic its function could be potential therapies for proteinuria.

Early Detection and Diagnostics

Current Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM) devices are extremely expensive, and it is necessary to integrate this technology within smartphone applications for wider adoption. Contactless Facial RPM AI is an essential step toward progressive adoption of inexpensive RPM technologies, especially for CKD patients. KidneyDAO has signed an MOU to co-develop an RPM solution tailored for kidney health management. An additional component involves deeper penetration into rural healthcare via TeleHealth AI.

Smart Kidney Medication Patch

Not following medication routines or dosages is a major cause of disease progression, especially among elderly patients. For those needing high-quality care, real-time feedback is essential to automate delivery of necessary compounds in appropriate amounts. The Smart Kidney Medication Patch is being designed to enable automatic deployment of medication payloads via pain-free microneedles at preset intervals as well as in response to real-time physiological changes.
